There's very little wrong in life that can't be cured with a good potato recipe. A least in my opinion. Potatoes to me are the ultimate comfort food. These crispy air fried potatoes are an especially delicious side dish! The fact that they are the perfect crispy texture without a ton of oil is a huge bonus! They are also Whole30 compliant and made with just a few ingredients!
It's no secret that I love my air fryer. I love me a good air fryer recipe and I have several utilizing this little gadget and you can check those out here. I've used it for main entreés like tilapia or chicken tenders to sides like veggies and potatoes. I find that a little oil spray goes a long way in an air fryer. It's the perfect way to get a crispy texture to your food without spending 45 minutes in an oven or being doused in oils. Typically in my air fryer, I can have perfectly crispy food in 15 minutes or less. I also love using my air fryer to re-heat my vegetables or potatoes. It keeps them from getting soggy and re-heats back to that same "fried" texture I'm going for.
Ingredients
To make these crispy air fryer potatoes, you'll need just a few simple ingredients.
How To Air Fry Potatoes
Step One: Mix all of your seasonings together in a small bowl
Step Two: Chop your potatoes and add to the air fryer basket. Next, spritz your potatoes with the oil cooking spray and add your seasonings. Toss everything together to mix well and ensure each potato is coated with seasoning.
Step 3: Cook at 400 degrees. I like to check on my potatoes and shake the basket every 5-7 minutes or so just to make sure they heat evenly and are cooked to my liking.
Step 4: When the potatoes are fork-tender, they are good to go. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce! You can top with bacon crumbles and green onion and chives for even more flavor!
When I made this recipe, I was on a round of Whole30 and since I have a pretty full workout routine, potatoes were and are still, a large part of my diet. I am constantly cutting up potatoes and sticking them in the air fryer while I make the other parts of my meal because it's just so dang easy. I figured it was about time that I actually get a post up on the blog about it! So here is my version of crispy air fryer roasted potatoes!
Pro Tip
Soak your chopped potatoes in cold water for an hour or so before air frying. This will remove some of the starch from the potato and allow for an even crispier texture.

Hi there! Can’t wait to try this. Do you have to preheat your air fryer at all? Or can I just start it at 400 degrees for 15 minutes as soon as I drop the seasoned potatoes in?

Hey there! I don't preheat my air fryer. I just stick it right in and do 15 minutes from that point.
