There’s very little wrong in life that can’t be cured with potatoes. A least in my opinion. Potatoes to me are the ultimate comfort food. These crispy air fried potatoes are especially delicious! The fact that they are the perfect crispy texture without a ton of oil is a huge bonus! They are also Whole30 compliant and made with just a few ingredients!
It’s no secret that I love my air fryer (affiliate link). I have several recipes utilizing this little gadget and you can check those out here. I’ve used it for main entreés like tilapia or chicken tenders to sides like veggies and potatoes. I find that a little oil spray goes a long way in an air fryer (affiliate link). It’s the perfect way to get a crispy texture to your food without spending 45 minutes in an oven or being doused in oils. Typically in my air fryer (affiliate link), I can have perfectly crispy food in 15 minutes or less. I also love using my air fryer (affiliate link) to re-heat my vegetables or potatoes. It keeps them from getting soggy and re-heats back to that same “fried” texture I’m going for.
I used to use a Farberware air fryer and I LOVED it. It worked great and was reasonably priced. My husband is a bit of a gadget geek and so when he saw a digital air fryer (affiliate link) from Gourmia (affiliate link), he had to have it. One day I got home and I was like “Honey? We got a new air fryer (affiliate link)?” I gotta say though, it’s been awesome. This air fryer (affiliate link) is digital so it’s much easier to set the temperature and cooking time compared to having to turn a little dial and hope it was around where you wanted it to be. I couldn’t find the link to the exact model I have but here is a very similar air fryer from Gourmia). I do find though that with air frying, the best thing to do is take out the basket every 5 minutes are so and give its contents a good shake just to check things out until it’s cooked to your liking.
I’m currently on a round of Whole30 and since I have a pretty full workout routine, potatoes are a large part of my diet. I am constantly cutting up potatoes and sticking them in the air fryer (affiliate link) while I make the other parts of my meal because it’s just so dang easy. I figured it was about time that I actually get a post up on the blog about it! So here is my version of crispy air fried potatoes!
