In today’s podcast episode of A Little Salty, hosts Jen and Bailey discuss the topic of body image and all of the things that impact it. They dive into how trying to have a positive body image when society, peers, entertainment, and growing up watching diet mentality all have messages we pick up on that give us plenty of reasons why we shouldn’t.
They talk about how their perspective on body image and their own bodies have changed as they lost weight. Other topics include holding onto clothes that no longer fit you because they’re too small or too big, and the differences between being body positive versus health ramifications from obesity when it comes to the “health at every size” mindset.

Listened to all your podcasts and have been enjoying them. Your stories are so relatable, and they make me reflect on my own personal journey and my perceptions.
You have alluded to it before, but would love to hear more about your weight gain and how you cope with the daily struggle to make healthy choices. Ive made the journey of dropping 10 pts on my bmi only to see it slip back up again. Now I feel like Im back on track, but I want to do it in a healthy amd sustainable way.
As health and wellness bloggers, the spotlight is even more intensely on you. But even us mere mortals see the criticism in our friends, families, and peers when our grasp on our exceptional weight loss is losing its grip and our waistband expands. Its such a surprise when our weight loss is the topic of every conversation ... and then the downward trend reverses. They see it, I know it. Now, what do we talk about?
Would love to hear your thoughts about it.
